In March this year, the pure battery-powered passenger ship "Yangtze Three Gorges 1" was delivered in Yichang for construction and inspection by China Classification Society Yichang Branch. The ship will sail in the Three Gorges Gezhouba and Three Gorges Dam reservoir areas of the Yangtze River.

It is understood that the "Yangtze Three Gorges 1" has a total length of 100 meters, a total ship width of 16.8 meters, and a passenger quota of 1,300. It is equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell with a rated output power of 500 kilowatts, a maximum speed of 28 kilometers per hour, and a cruising range of Up to 200 kilometers. Although there is a big gap in size from the "Yangtze Three Gorges 1", it still shows the huge potential of hydrogen energy in ship applications.

After the "Three Gorges Hydrogen Boat No. 1" is put into operation, it will serve as a demonstration for the application of hydrogen energy on ships and even promote the commercial application of hydrogen energy on ships.
