On November 22, 2023, China Classification Society (CCS) organized an expert review meeting for the "Guidelines for Marine Fishery Breeding Facilities" (2024) (referred to as the "Guidelines") in Tianjin. More than 20 experts from owners, designers, builders, enterprises and institutions, scientific research institutes and CCS came to give guidance.
Since the 2019 version of the "Guidelines" came into effect, CCS has provided plan review services for more than 70 various types of offshore fishery breeding platforms/facilities, adhering to the " The technical concept of serving the industry "going deep into the front line" provides strong support for keeping the guide "fresh and active". At the same time, CCS takes the latest regulations and guidance as the criterion, grasps the technological development context, closely focuses on the "targeted" goal of deep-sea aquaculture, and "tailor-made" personalized technical requirements for different offshore fishery aquaculture facilities. In terms of structure, turbine, fire protection , electrical and safety equipment and other requirements, coordinate and implement precise policies, firmly grasp the "nose" of safety design, fully enhance the advanced nature of the "Guide", and give full play to the leading role of our offshore engineering specification guide in the industry.
The participating experts carefully listened to the writing team’s report on the project work, the preparation of the "Guide" and the handling of feedback, and questioned the content of each chapter of the "Guide" and the handling of feedback. and discussion, highly recognized the work results of the writing group, and believed that after the "Guidelines" come into effect, they will have a practical guiding role in the design, plan review, construction and inspection of offshore fishery farming facilities, and further promote the high-quality development of offshore fishery farming.
