The Lingshui 36-1 gas field is located in the sea with an average water depth of about 1,500 meters. The average burial depth of its gas layers is only 210 meters. The main gas-bearing layer is the Quaternary Le East group. This discovery not only fills the gap in my country's exploration of ultra-deep water and ultra-shallow gas fields, but is also a powerful verification of domestic deep-water oil and gas exploration technology.

Previously, CNOOC has built projects in Liwan 3-1, "Shenhai No. 1" (Lingshui 17-2), and "Shenhai No. 1" Phase II (Lingshui 25-1). , Baodao 21-1, Kaiping South and other oil and gas fields have achieved remarkable results, and the discovery of Lingshui 36-1 is undoubtedly another important milestone in the field of deep-water exploration.
